NYA and the Catalyst Consortium are in the final 2 days of consulting on the potential of an Institute for Youth Work. I think it’s really important that all interested parties have their say.
If you haven’t yet, please follow the link to make sure your views are considered. In my discussions there are some genuine concerns about where a formal institute would leave the many thousands of volunteers who deliver services for young people in this country.
On the other hand, there are also concerns about all ‘work with young people’ being classed as Youth Work.
